This is what I envisioned in my creative mind years ago that Oldsmobile "should" have made for a specialty vehicle for GM, my S-10 had some body damage, and I had another vehicle or 2 to drive at the time so I figured why not use the Olds diesel 350, converted to gas to power this thing, LOTS of fabrication needed to cram that engine into this truck, it's been on the back burner for years now. I sold it to Troy a few years back for a father/son project.
This engine will be taken down to the short block, gone over to make sure things are still good, and Olds 403 gas engine heads, and an Edelbrock intake will be added to allow it to run on gas.
This is a mock up photo showing where the location of the oil pan will be if the Olds engine is to be placed according to the reference points the factory set for the gas engine I removed from the truck.

Before I put the Super Swampers on the Jimmy I put the grille guard and brush guards on the front to keep the damage level lower incase of an "oops" in the off road adventures.

96 GMC Jimmy/JAMES
This 1996 GMC Jimmy was purchased with the intent of a replacement for my 1979 Chevy Stepside that I ended up getting rid of as I beat that truck HARD and broke several things at once.
The plans for this vehicle include a V8 engine/transmission/transfer case swap, a (SAS) Solid Axle Swap to replace the IFS front suspension & drivetrain with an axle out of a Jeep, and a disc brake rear axle out of a Ford Explorer. Currently it needs a transmission swapped, and will be converted from electric shift 4X4 to manual shift, the 1995 Jeep Wrangler Dana-30 front axle with 4.11 gears is here waiting for the SAS kit to be installed after the unworthy IFS front suspension is removed.

This is Troy's truck just shortly after we got it, he's practicing his driving skills, AND using the truck to work with, we were hauling stuff around the property with it.
Here we have a load of scrap metal just about ready for the day to take to the recycler, we here at M&M CUSTOM will gladly cut up and haul your scrap metal away. Small jobs we will haul away for free or a very nominal fee to cover our costs, larger jobs may just end up paying YOU too!

1998 GMC Sierra
This is Troy's off road project truck, and was previously our shop truck.
It currently needs a transmission, and Troy is considering swapping to a 5-speed manual.
We have plans on swapping out the IFS front suspension and drivetrain for a (SAS) Solid Axle Swap for extreme durability and it helps in his need for a lift kit on the cheap. This is also equipped with a V6 and the plans include a V8 engine later on, same as the Jimmy/JAMES project.
